Resource Coordinator Manager
|The Opportunity Alliance is the Community Action Agency for Cumberland County. Through multiple integrated community based and clinical programs, we serve more than 20,000 people annually throughout Maine. For 50 years, we have provided advocacy, leadership, and support to help individuals, families, and communities identify goals and address their needs. Our programming includes: Early Childhood Education, Family and Community Supports, Mental Health Services for Children, Youth, and Adults, Crisis Intervention and Prevention, Information and Referral, and Community Initiatives.
We are seeking individuals interested in supporting this mission by joining our 2-1-1 Maine program as a full-time Resource Coordinator Manager. In this role the successful candidate will works as a team member within our 2-1-1 Maine program and is responsible for the accurate, comprehensive development of information and resource data for a comprehensive statewide web-based database. You will work with outside agencies to obtain resource information, write descriptions about agencies and their services, and enter information into the database according to the established style guidelines. Additional duties include assisting with managing the resource gathering, editing, and classification process to ensure adherence to standards and consistency of information, training satellite resource coordinators at regional resource centers and supervising their data entry work, attending and presenting at various information fairs, council and committee meetings.
Pay range is based on experience and education. Full benefits package is offered including PTO and holidays, medical, dental, life and disability insurance and 403(b) with employer match. The successful candidate is required to have 1-2 years of experience data mining, managing database input, and cataloging new entries into a database for quick and easy access. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required including strong public speaking skills to represent 2-1-1 Maine in the community. Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as the ability to work with substantial amounts of data with a high degree of accuracy is required. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with area service providers to obtain and maintain current resource information required. Position involves operation of a motor vehicle to conduct Agency business on a frequent basis. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required. All candidates must pass an extensive criminal background check, child protective services and sex offender check and must not be on the state or federal “do not do business” with list.
